The BikePRO Racing (BPR) monocoque full carbon
frames bring a new level of affordability to high end road racing
frame market. Designed in Australia, specifically for
the Australian market, the frames uses our propriety BPR
custom mould to create a frame that is versatile, strong and
stiff enough to be professionally raced or ridden all day
long. Many overseas brands that are brought into Australia are
actually not designed for the Australian Market, as the frames are
designed for 70kg small build cyclists. The BPR frame is
designed for riders up to 110kg, yet will still benefit stronger,
smaller rider due the the stiffness of the frame. Overseas,
cyclists often have specific bikes for each road discipline,
whereas the Australia market tenders to want a high performance,
versatile, do-it-all road racing machine.
Despite the frame incorporating a wheel based that is 10-20mm
longer that criterium bike, its has been designed to be stiff and
agile enough to be professionally raced in short-course criteriums.
Super Oversized Carbon Down tube and chainstays eliminate
pedal induced frame torque, while a bent top tube &
seatstays allows for a more comfortable ride with a
controlled amount of seat post flex. BikePRO's race proof warranty
covers the frame for 3 years.
Designed by Andy Choy (ex-olympian) with over 25 years industry
and racing experience. Andy's knowledge base draws from many
influences including his achievement of being fully
certified trainer, having completed the 'United States Sports
Academic' coaching diploma. Furthermore, Andy has ridden
almost every high-end bike commercially available to the
market, and knows exactly what attributes are needed to create a
high-performance carbon frame for the Australian market. The bike
has therefore been built, ground up, encompassing all of Andy's
knowledge and experience, as well as using the best materials and
workmanship.. The frame is built to outperform top end
European bikes for a fraction of the price. COME

Differential
Chain stays thickness allow the BPR frame optimize stiffness
& efficiency by increasing strength of the drive side
chain stay, reducing tube deflection caused by pedal induced
torque.
Where is Research &
Development for the BPR frame done?
All design, research and
development in done out of Melbourne, Australia. With exceptionally
positive results from ongoing Australian
and international race testing.
Who manufactures the
frame and what is their connection to BikePRO?
It is no doubt that a
key asset to the BPR venture is not only Andy Choy's rich
experience in the bicycle industry, but also his diverse network to
overseas manufacturers and bicycle companies. Andy regularly
visits our manufacturing company, and has a one on one relationship
with employees. This close relationship allows Andy to
monitor the entire manufacturing process from our own
custom mould manufacture to final painting and
branding.
Why are the
BPR Carbon Bikes so competitively priced and also
discounted?
Company owner, Andy Choy,
deals directly with our frame manufacturer in China, cutting
out the middle man (wholesaler), thus also cutting out the markup
that would have been placed in the process. This allows much more
competitive pricing of our BPR frames. Due to the conservative
nature of the high-end bicycle industry, BikePRO has introduced the
BPR range at a introductory discounted price. This discounted
price is time-limited and will not be a permanent fixture and is
implemented to get the name into the ultra-competitive
industry.
Will BikePRO be
distributed Australia wide?
Currently BikePRO is proudly
based in Melbourne, Australia. Bikepro is looking to build a
distribution network throughout Australia to make BPR more
accessible to riders outside Victoria. Therefore there are
opportunities, for a select number of highly specialised shops, who
pride themselves on a passion for cycling and high quality service
to carry the BPR Carbon Bikes. BikePRO looks forward to
distributorship proposals from interested parties.
Currently BPR is distributed
in Tasmania through Mick Groom of Treadley Tech. Customers in
Tasmania can contact Mick on 03 64314143 or 0414656381 for
information on the BPR range.
Why should i choose
a BikePRO Carbon Frame when other major brands 'claim' so
much?
We stand 100% behind BPR,
being toughly designed for the Australian market and conditions.
However, in the end we can tell you all day why our
product is superior in both price and quality to other products on
the market. Many brands claim to be, something they are not (to put
it simply). We strongly recommend you put other bicycle companies
'claims' to the pavement and test ride the BPR after riding a
competitors bike, as a test ride can literally say a
thousand words.
What is the current
availability of BPR frames/bikes?
Sales of our BPR
Monocoque Frames have exceeded our expectations, currently we are
sold out of large, only having a few XL frames
left.
When will 2009
BPR frames be released?
The first 2009 shipment is
due November 2008, and will include Medium, Large & X Large
Carbon Monocoque Frames. Full Photos and spec will be posted
shortly on the website
Is sponsorship
available?
BikePRO is very interested
in investing in competition cyclists to further the BPR name and
cycling as a sport. BikePRO is currently sponsoring both Kris
Mccartney and Andrian Hanson. If you are seeking sponsorship come in and
talk to us or email Andy at bikepro@iprimus.com.au
